Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer Quality to join our Engineering Department. Together with other talented engineers, designers, and partners you will shape, design, and build the next generation PayPal in-store hardware.

Meet our team 

  • You will join a product team of 6-10 engineers, designers and a Product Manager 

  • You will be part of the Payments Alliance reporting to the Engineering Manager of Hardware/Terminal team 

Your way to impact 

As we continue our quest to democratise financial services, we are now looking for an inspiring Software Engineer Quality to join one of our Teams shaping up Zettle's Payment’s solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with a group of passionate people (product managers, app- developers and many more) working on making our Merchants' everyday experience best-in-class. 

Your day-to-day 

  • Test new software features on our POS hardware 

  • Test reader software on our POS hardware 

  • Create & update test cases 

  • Execute smoke & regression test suites when releasing new software versions 

  • Manage and monitor releases 

  • Report defects & verify bug fixes 

  • Investigate and reproduce production issues 

  • Maintain documentation

Hard skills 

  

At least 5 years of experience in agile development and testing. 

Solid knowledge of functional testing of apps (incl. feature/regression, usability, E2E and manual exploratory testing) on iOS and Android. 

Hands on experience in apps release process and app distribution. 

Good understanding of iOS and Android development (incl. building and installing apps). 

Can understand architecture of products including client and server-side components.. 

Hands on experience of Unix and bash scripting. 

Hands on experience in Splunk and monitoring. 

Good knowledge and hands on experience of the following technologies, tools and methodologies: 

  • Scrum/Agile development 

  • Troubleshooting and debugging 

  • Good analytical skills 

  • Git and GitHub 

  • ADB and Android Studio 

  • Xcode 

  • TestFlight 

  • Zephyr Scale 

  • Jira & Confluence 

 

We would be happy if you had:   

  • Understanding of concept of CI/CD 

  • Ability to read code in one of the following programming languages: Java, Kotlin or Swift 

  • Fintech/banking industry knowledge 

  • Hardware testing experience 

  • Basic understanding of backend development 

  • Knowledge of testing REST API:s
