We fulfil the Incident Management and Problem Management roles in the ITSM implementation for PayPal Development environments.

You will join an outstanding team that manages all unplanned impactful events and service disruptions in the Development environment, with a primary focus on restoring our Dev Environments to an operational state. The Team are not subject matter experts on any vertical, but capable of managing the Incident Management and Problem Management Lifecycles of all developer impacting issues.

Your way to impact: 

The opportunities to shine are abundant, if you can take command and manage an Incident bridge while keeping all forms of communications focused on the mitigation of an issue. Resource allocation, you know when to pull in resources that can add value and know when to dismiss resources that are not.

You identify opportunities to work more than one troubleshooting path in parallel.

Your day to day:

• Experience returning core service functionality to the thousands of developers who depend on its availability to perform their roles.
• Identify opportunities for prevention, reducing the likelihood of recurrence, and reduce time to mitigation, which results in improvements to the overall health environment.
• Be the mouthpiece for the development community, conveying impact, eta to mitigation, and regular updates to leadership to provide status and possible challenges/blockers to obtaining mitigation.
• Work with an outstanding pool of resources that are truly aligned and focused on the same objective.

What you need to bring: 

• Responsiveness, in action (bridge attendance), and audible in conversations to drive responses from teams in attendance and gain clarity.
• The ability to Professionally Command an Incident Bridge.
• The ability to provide concise ‘Written and Verbal Communications’ that convey end-user experiences, ongoing actions.
• We understand confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
• Networking and Programming experience
• 3 years of Java experience.
• Operational Enterprise experience.
• Cloud experience
