We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal Data Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PayPal Inc., seeks Software Engineer 2 in Austin, TX

Job Duties: Work with the Agile team to create the new software products and features requested by the Product team. Analyze requirements, prepare design, and develop robust, scalable software systems using object-oriented programming. Collaborate with other software developers to design and implement the required solutions and maintain existing software product capabilities. Participate in formal and informal code reviews to ensure software code quality. Actively contribute to the automated test suite to enable continuous software integration. Assist with software application deployments in PayPal’s Cloud environment. Create user interfaces and resolve cross-browser and backward compatibility issues. Debug, diagnose and resolve complex JavaScript bugs throughout the stack. Partial telecommuting is permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
