Senior Access Engineer

PayPal Enterprise Cyber Security Network Access Engineering team is looking to hire a VPN – Network Engineer.

Your day to day:

• Designing and implementing new VPN/ZTNA solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting VPN network equipment on-prem and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Maximizing VPN/ZTNA performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Arranging scheduled upgrades.
• Investigating faults in the appliances.
• Updating VPN/ZTNA equipment to the latest firmware releases.
• Reporting VPN/ZTNA status to key stakeholders.

What do you need to bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 2-4 years of network administration experience.
• 1-3 years system administration with Microsoft or Linux servers.
• 1-2 years automation/scripting experience.
• Experience working with Cloud native networking services.
• Experience with Anti-Virus or Data Loss Prevention tools a plus.
• Working knowledge of virtualization (VDA/VDI), VMWare, Nutanix, or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Strong documentation skills, architectural / engineering diagrams, product documentation, etc.
