Our P2P team is responsible for triggering various initiatives for PayPal across worldwide with focus on agility, time to market and innovation. As a member of this team, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers and Engineers (3-in-a-box model) to create innovative solutions for our customers. & you’ll play an important role in product development from concept to launch. The Role: The role is for a backend developer/leader/architect, working on building futuristic and delightful growth related features and experiences for PayPal's diverse customer base spread across multiple countries. A customer focused, hands-on backend Developer, responsible for designing, implementing and delivering state of the art payments solutions for the global market. The ideal candidate is an individual with strong experience and awareness of the payments industry trends, with knowledge on design principles and building scalable backend infrastuructre to power apps/web expereinces that are intuitive and user- friendly. Business acumen, hands-on technology skills, positive work ethic and a collaborative mindset are key to the success of this role.   Key Responsibilities:

• Convert ideas, designs and requirements into concrete, stable production builds
• Works with product, project, and engineering teams to deliver products on schedule that solve our customers’ problems
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of application.
• Perform detailed analysis and technical designs, create technical documents and be active participate in design reviews.
• Code, test, integrate, document and release software adhering to technical and quality standards
• Develops and communicates technical processes, standards, and best practices to the team 

  Requirements:

• At least 10+ years of Java development experience. 12+ years’ total experience.
• Hands on Programming expertise in Java/J2EE with a specific focus on large scale distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of concepts like Web Services, REST APIs, Message Queue, Distributed/Scalable Architecture
• Experience in developing automated unit and functional tests along with load & Performance testing.
• Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired
