Job Description Summary:

The team is responsible for constructing solutions to solve business challenges for markets that are identified to continue, grow, extend PayPal as leader of Online Payments. We design, develop, and enhance services across PayPal’s Payments platform envisaging the next generation cult solutions. We are the unconventional outfit that set benchmark within PayPal for delivering products with finesse in quality through inner-source and challenge time to market factor for delivering complex yet scalable solutions across Platforms.

Job Description:

What you need to know about the role: This role is critical to understand, explore the payments platform within PayPal and think solutions which may span across components/platforms. This role will require to build synergy with other partnering teams to deliver outcomes that will add towards the $1B revenue portfolio. What you need to bring: The prospective candidate will be working with various cross functional groups (business, product, analytics, user experience design and engineering) and will require admirable articulation, negotiation and influencing skills given the level of visibility. Experience or awareness of the payments industry is a big plus. Your day-to-day: - Engage with multiple teams of highly talented engineers and architects to design and develop highly scalable, unique customizable solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. - Actively engage with leadership across Product, Architecture, Design and Engineering to design, propose, discuss and refine new features and functionality. - Collaborate with other engineering teams, IT, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions that meet organizational needs. - Communicate with stakeholders on technical standards, principles, methodologies and trends. - Enhance overall system operational characteristics by establishing best practices for code quality, reduction in tech debt, building frameworks or shared techniques to improve engineering effectiveness. - Identify opportunities for refactoring, API changes, solution designs and other types of tech debt remediation. - Influence management for driving technical decision-making for the right selection of technology by giving forthright, understandable, and actionable advice. - Drive decision-making with team members with different views for simple to complex problems with the business requirements to help synthesize the best solution. - Engage with business team, highly analytical and have experience designing and implementing A/B tests, with approach like data-based experiments. You know exactly what and how to track business metrics and KPIs. Your way to impact: As Member of Technical Staff, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and being a watchdog for the most strategically aligned regions within PayPal’s Portfolio. You will deep dive and implement robust solutions to complex problems. Our team is fast and agile, and the front runner bearing the torch for inner sourcing. If you are self-driven, passionate, a team- player and have effective communication skills, this role will fascinate you. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals. - 10+ years of experience building successful production software systems and solutions

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$84500 to $204600
