Software Engineer

As our quest to democratize financial services continues at blazing speed, we are looking for a passionate Backend Developer intern with a DevOps mindset and a great deal of experience in Agile to join our financial services area. The areas core mission consists of tracking/bookkeeping payments that the end-users do when buying from our customers via e.g., a Zettle terminal (money in), and make sure the money ends up on the right account (money out). Easy, right? Internship duration - 6 months, fulltime, starting August 2023 Internship location - Stockholm, Sweden

In this role, you will be part of a backend-heavy team consisting of creative groundbreakers driven by the shared ambition to develop modern and scalable Microservices. The skills to succeed

Broadly speaking, at Zettle we believe in working with the best tools for the tasks. With that in mind, we think that the following skills and know-how would greatly help you to make the magic happen:

• Programming in a Java or similar language.
• SQL and data modelling.
• Familiar with Microservices frameworks.
• Building REST APIs.

Apart from the above, you earn extra points if you have knowledge or experience with:

• Experience building scalable data-intensive applications.
• Amazon Web Services (SNS, SQS, API Gateway, ECS).
• Managing AWS Infra/DevOps at scale using Terraform.
