Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role-As the head of Credit & collections AI/ML (credit research & attribute design) within our Global Analytics & Data Sciences team, you will be instrumental in researching and coming up with optimal approaches to integrate orthogonal 3rd party data sources & design powerful features to push the envelope on credit & collections modeling. The incumbent will also be responsible for driving improvements around credit model monitoring practices

Your day to day -
- Work closely with business partners to develop and execute a comprehensive approach to researching and integrating new data sets & 3rd party attributes to support PayPal’s credit services, ensuring alignment with the business and the company's objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of AI/ML professionals and lead to business success, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and other data science teams, to integrate new variables & sources into AI/ML credit solutions into merchant and consumer credit products.
- Contribute to advancing AI/ML models for credit scoring, credit risk assessment, & collections segmentation by enhancing attribute designs as well as suggesting new datasets to augment already rich sources of data.
- Balance between using the latest AI/ML trends and technologies, harnessing intelligence from external data and developing proprietary techniques.
What do you need to bring-
- 15+ years of experience in AI/ML model development, with a proven track record in credit financial services.
- Proven track record in development and deployment of models leveraging machine learning, deep learning & NLP approaches.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
- Strong connections with the AI/ML ecosystem in India is a plus.
- Highly proficient in technical understanding of AI/ML languages such as Python and libraries; frameworks such as TensorFlow, Py Torch, Scikit-learn etc.
- Strong experience in leading model deployment on cloud environments – big plus.
- Desire and ability to work in a dynamic, innovative, fast-paced environment.
