Cloud Engineer

Your way to impact

• 5+ years’ experience in Cloud DevOps role in one of following environment: openstack, nutanix, vmware or public cloud.
• Strong programming skills with Python, Java or Bash required.
• Familiar with Cloud toolset terraform, power shell, ARM
• Strong Linux admin skills.
• Strong Analytical & logical Skills on with large scale of data.
• Ability to create test environments

Your day to day

• Ability to communicate well, both verbal and written.
• Possess at least one of the following knowledge and experiences:
• A strong understanding of core infrastructure services & basic networking concepts like Subnets, VLANs, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, SSH
• Experience in Puppet configuration management systems & Ansible playbooks.
• DB administration
• Familiar with Load balancer
• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration

• Certify cloud native capabilities
• Enforce security policy on cloud environment to keep the Cloud Infrastructure with highest reliability and security.
• Deploy clound resources through tools with terraform, puppet, and ansible.
•  Scan, collect and patch system to meet security compliance standard
•  Help triage/Troubleshoot issues encountered during VM provisioning.
•  Coordinate Design review, provide solution ideas and help to connect dots for internal paypal teams
•  Integrate existing and newly built tools with change management systems for documentation.
•  Document the tools and methodology clearly in confluence.
•  Influence your ideas and deliver results.
