About the Platform Engineer Opportunity

As a Platform Engineer on our team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our platform's future while continuously advancing your technical prowess. Your contributions will be integral to our success by driving innovation and excellence every step of the way.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Triage and resolve production issues with careful assessment of impact on infrastructure or service operations.
- Design and execute resilient solutions to problems.
- Participate in planning and design discussions.
- Contribute significantly to the team's platform engineering commitments.
- Review code and platform changes made by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Provide technical ownership for a number of systems maintained by the team.
- Drive improvement in the design and quality of our platform.
What You'll Need to Have:
- 4+ years of experience working on cloud-hosted infrastructure
- Understanding of best practices for performance, security, scalability, and availability in distributed systems.
- Professional experience with Azure and AWS.
- Experience developing solutions to challenging technical problems.
- Interest in determining and applying appropriate technical designs to solve user needs.
- Familiarity with creating alerting and monitoring for web site applications.
- Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
- Experience with SQL Server.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code with preferred experience using Terraform.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with web-based systems.
- A passion for learning and improving.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets and/or other distributed data processing systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and containerization
- Experience building reliable systems that handle large transactional volume.
