Video Editor

Location: Pakistan

Department: Candidate Sourcing

Workplace: remote

Description

Position Type: Full-Time | Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to turn raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with the company’s creative direction and visual standards. You’ll work closely with the Design team to edit content, incorporate motion graphics, refine audio, and deliver high-quality videos within agreed timelines.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, excellent editing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining consistent quality. You should be comfortable receiving feedback, handling revisions, and working in a remote, primarily asynchronous environment.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Content Production

  • Edit raw footage into polished, professional videos that meet creative briefs and project requirements.
  • Refine pacing, transitions, and storytelling to create engaging final content.
  • Ensure all videos align with the intended message, audience, and visual style.

Motion Graphics & Visual Design

  • Add titles, transitions, lower thirds, and motion graphics to enhance video quality.
  • Maintain visual consistency across projects and follow established brand guidelines.
  • Apply color correction and grading to achieve a clean, consistent look.

Audio Editing & Mixing

  • Sync, balance, and refine audio tracks, including voiceovers, music, and sound effects.
  • Ensure clear dialogue, appropriate sound levels, and smooth audio transitions.
  • Review audio quality before delivering final exports.

Revisions & Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Design team to understand creative briefs and project expectations.
  • Incorporate feedback accurately and efficiently across multiple revision rounds.
  • Communicate progress, clarify requirements, and flag potential delays proactively.
  • Meet agreed deadlines while managing multiple editing projects.

Asset Management & Quality Control

  • Maintain organized project files, raw footage, exports, and reusable templates.
  • Follow consistent file-naming and storage practices to keep assets accessible.
  • Review every deliverable for pacing, color consistency, audio quality, and technical specifications.
  • Export and deliver videos in the required formats and resolutions.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven professional experience as a Video Editor, supported by a portfolio of completed work.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Solid understanding of video editing, color correction and grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics fundamentals.
  • Ability to follow creative direction and maintain consistent visual quality across projects.
  • Strong file management and organization skills, including handling large media libraries.
  • Good written communication skills for remote collaboration and asynchronous updates.
  • Ability to manage time independently, handle revisions, and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal workstation capable of handling video editing workloads.

Perfect Fit / Culture

  • You take ownership of your projects and deliver high-quality work without constant supervision.
  • You communicate proactively when requirements are unclear or deadlines may be affected.
  • You accept creative feedback positively and apply revisions accurately.
  • You pay close attention to detail, from pacing and transitions to audio levels and export settings.
  • You stay organized and productive in a remote, asynchronous work environment.

Typical Day

You’ll begin by reviewing creative briefs, raw footage, and priorities shared by the Design team. Most of your day will involve editing footage, refining pacing, adding graphics, and improving audio and visual quality. You’ll export drafts for review, incorporate feedback, and manage revisions while keeping project files organized. Before finishing, you’ll complete quality checks on deliverables due for submission and upload the final exports in the required formats.
