About the Role

Parry Labs is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Software Test Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the testing and quality assurance processes of cutting-edge software applications for defense projects.

The internship position is required to work out of either our Huntsville, AL or Dallas, TX offices. This will be a 12-week paid internship during the summer of 2025 beginning on Monday, May 19th and concluding on August 8th. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the software development and testing teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Contribute to the development of test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for defense software applications.
• Execute test cases to ensure the functionality, security, and performance of software applications.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing, identifying and reporting defects.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely bug resolution.
• Perform regression testing to verify that software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Maintain and update test cases and test suites to reflect changes in software requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and documentation standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute insights to improve overall product quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Preferred candidates will be entering their senior year in Fall 2025.
• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if needed upon scope of work.
• Strong interest in software testing and quality assurance processes.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
