About the Role

As a project engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals and contribute to cutting-edge projects that safeguard our nation.

The internship position is required to work out of either our Huntsville, AL or Dallas, TX offices. This will be a 12-week paid internship during the summer of 2025 beginning on Monday, May 19th and concluding on Friday, August 8th.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in daily execution of tasks within a contract or program, helping to maintain cost and schedule.
• Support timely delivery of artifacts and customer requirements while adhering to budget constraints.
• Facilitate the verification of customer requirements through integration and testing processes.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to build a strong working relationship.
• Provide technical insights and suggestions to the Program Manager and senior engineering leadership.
• Participate in customer briefings and technical discussions during periodic meetings.
• Assist in developing Basis-of-Estimates (BOEs), reviewing engineering artifacts, and supporting root cause investigations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineer, Computer Science or a related field.
• Basic understanding of project management principles, including project planning, scheduling, and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with integrating hardware and software systems in lab and field settings.
• Knowledge of relevant software tools for requirement analysis, CI/CD pipelines, Agile management, and testing.
• Awareness of safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with Open Architecture Standards (e.g., FACE, OMS) and modeling methodologies (e.g., SysML, UML).
• Understanding of hardware and software interfaces and network configuration concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
