Job Summary

Job Summary
As a Sr. Staff Site Reliability Engineer for our SASE Products, you will be a critical liaison between Development, Operations, and Support teams, focusing on our Prisma Access platform. You will leverage your senior network and security expertise to manage and resolve complex escalations, directly improving product reliability and the end-user experience. This role is pivotal in enhancing the serviceability of our groundbreaking cloud security solutions, ensuring we protect our customers' digital way of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve critical field escalations, acting as a key point of contact for complex technical issues related to the Prisma Access platform.
  • Develop and implement automation tools for the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to improve visibility, streamline troubleshooting, and reduce the load on Engineering/DevOps.
  • Conduct post-mortem analyses of incidents, utilizing resolution data to provide actionable feedback for product improvements and enhanced supportability.
  • Proactively monitor systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate, contributing to improved customer experience, cost reduction, and security.
  • Enable and empower TAC teams by delivering structured training and creating documentation on new tools, troubleshooting techniques, and resolution processes.
  • Proactively collaborate and exchange information with cross-functional teams to accomplish shared objectives and ensure rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with networking protocols (e.g., BGP) and security protocols (e.g., IPSec, TLS).
  • Proven experience in a senior engineering troubleshooting role (e.g., Support, QA, Dev, SRE) for an enterprise-scale product.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting on common Linux distributions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scripting and automation for developing SRE tools (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Strong experience with public cloud services such as AWS or GCP.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and understanding of databases like SQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
  • Experience with REST APIs and open-source technologies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
