Your Career

At Palo Alto Networks, we build the world’s most advanced cybersecurity platforms. The manufacturing operations team is responsible for the manufacturing capabilities to build our next-generation network firewalls.

As a Senior Test Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring quality of our delivered products through effective testing, driving development of  advanced test platforms for network device manufacturing, implementation of test strategies in collaboration with our contract manufacturers and vendors.

You will  work internally across different functional groups, from Supply Chain Operations to NPI Product Development. You are a technical leader in your field, with a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing of complex architectures of network devices and operations with contract manufacturers.

Your Impact

  • Drive delivery of efficient product testing strategies at CM, for HW product test including structural and functional aspects
  • Responsible for ensuring our products ship with the highest quality through extensive and complete testing
  • Spearhead DfT best practices, evaluate product designs for test coverage and serviceability
  • Development of high stress testing platforms, demonstrate understanding of bandwidth loading, environmental and electrical factors
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, eg switching and routing
  • Manage the development of test fixtures and hardware requirements
  • Drive  CM performance through iterative yield analysis and isolation of key failure manufacturing defects 
  • Lead failure analysis, drive root cause activities and implement effective fixes across manufacturing and repair facilities 
  • Ensure scalable manufacturing/service test lines and smooth operation/high availability of test lines in manufacturing and repair 

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • 10+ years of electronics manufacturing testing experience with a deep understanding of manufacturing test 
  • Experience with electronics system design and DfT
  • Experience with ICT and advanced Boundary Scan IEEE1149 test development
  • Familiarity with scripting and programming languages, eg Python, Tcl/Tk, C/C++, Javascript, Labview, Python etc
  • Expertise with computer networks and protocols - TCP/IP switching and routing, GNU/Linux tools 
  • Experience with vendor management, performance management and resource planning
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and inclusive environment
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of gaining buy-in for programs at all organizational levels
  • A passion for technology, with a keen strategic mind for manufacturing and operations
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and motivational skills, complemented by agility and adaptability in ambiguous situations
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects while ensuring high-quality outcomes

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $170,900/yr to $276,450/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
