About the Role & Responsibilities

Pagaya is seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join our Portfolio Risk Analytics team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of advanced analytics, machine learning, and consumer credit innovation, helping to develop cutting-edge risk assessment tools and frameworks that power our consumer credit platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine tools to assess credit risk and predict consumer lending outcomes
• Conduct exploratory data analysis on large, complex datasets to uncover meaningful insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for senior leadership
• Support the ongoing monitoring and improvement of existing predictive models

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as Data Science
• Bachelor's degree or MSc- Data Science/ Statistics/ Computer Science
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
• Basic understanding of credit risk fundamentals
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication abilities to explain complex technical concepts
