Responsibilities and Duties

As the Application Developer you will be responsible for creating and using technical specifications and generating reusable web/database components.

As well as:

• Designing, maintenance and support of enterprise systems and web applications.

• Consult and develop support for any existing and new custom applications.

• Draw up technical specifications as well as design documentation and test plans.

• Knowledge of business standards and processes in the publishing industry a plus.

• Work closely along side programmers and IT staff on development projects as well as define and outline the capabilities and limitations of various systems.

Qualifications

Candidates will only be considered that hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related. 5+ years of equivalent job experience will also be considered if degree is not available.

• 5 years or more experience with web application development using MVC, C#, and SQL Server.

• 5 years or more experience with database programming using SQL Servers ( Microsoft & Transact).

• Must have a strong knowledge and skills in AJAX, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• 3 or more years experience programming JSON and RESTful services.

• Extensive knowledge of MVC architecture.

• Strong knowledge of UI designs/implementation

• Great verbal and written communication skills.

• MUST be able to multitask.
