Engineering Manager, Cloud Platform

In this role you will:

• Enable company to reach its goals by innovating, building and operating the cloud platform reliably and efficiently
• Handle line management duties for engineers in the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) squad — coaching and supporting them in their career development
• Hold regular 1-on-1s with your engineers, ensuring their well-being and helping with any issues that arise
• Promote engineering excellence, establish key metrics, and drive continuous operational improvements
• Provide leadership for team initiatives by coordinating the work, facilitating the stakeholder discussions, driving problem solving when needed, ensuring adequate staffing and competence for a succesful outcome
• Work with other engineering leaders to promote best practices and a culture of continuous improvement across the organization
• Collaborate with other engineering managers on how we lead the teams and clarify our vision and goals and to build a fantastic work environment for engineers
• Create hiring plans and participate in recruitment to attract and retain the best talent around the world

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

• Passion towards building a great product development culture and sharing knowledge and best practices across teams.
• Basic understanding and experience of a cloud based infrastructure for a commercial product
• A technical background is beneficial to be successful in the role
• Experience in team lead or management roles in development teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in building and scaling teams and processes in fast-growing companies
• Experience working in an agile work environment
• You are excited about creating well-functioning teams and removing barriers for them
• A team-oriented mindset and enjoy working in a diverse environment with distributed teams
• Have interviewing experience and understanding of hiring process
