Role Overview:
El Ingeniero de Calidad de Proveedores garantiza que los productos suministrados por los proveedores cumplan con los estándares de seguridad y calidad. Él o ella hace seguimiento de los problemas de calidad detectados por los clientes internos y los detectados directamente por los proveedores, y los impulsa para una resolución y cierre exitosos utilizando herramientas de calidad de Otis y estándar de la industria, y conforme a las políticas y procedimientos de calidad de Otis. También se encargará de la cualificación de nuevas piezas mediante la elaboración, revisión y aprobación de PPAPs y coordinará tanto con proveedores como internamente para su ejecución. Además, se incluye la realización de auditorías de proceso y de aseguramiento de calidad en los proveedores bajo su responsabilidad.

El trabajo requiere comunicación activa con los proveedores, con clientes internos (fábricas de Otis), así como cooperación con las funciones de Ingeniería, Fabricación y Obras. El estado y el progreso del trabajo deben comunicarse regularmente a la dirección de fábricas, funciones y región.

Buscamos un Ingeniero de Industrial / Mecánico titulado y con experiencia demostrable principalmente en la resolución de problemas de calidad de productos mecánicos y uso de herramientas de calidad, conocimiento de los estándares del sector y de los procesos de fabricación asociados a estos productos (plegado, punzonado, prensado, corte laser, montajes mecánicos, procesado de acero, etc) para realizar además de la resolución de problemas poder realizar auditorías de los mismos, y preferiblemente también conocimiento básico de productos y procesos eléctricos, electromecánicos y electrónicos. El candidato debe demostrar enfoque en el cliente, pasión por la calidad y motivación por obtener resultados.

El Ingeniero de Calidad de Proveedores reporta directamente al Responsable de Calidad de Proveedores de Otis España, responsable del área en las tres fábricas españolas.

The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures that the products supplied by the Otis suppliers meet safety and quality standards. He or she tracks quality issues identified by internal customers and those detected directly by suppliers and drives them to successful resolution and closure using Otis quality and industry standard tools, and in accordance with Otis quality policies and procedures. It will also be responsible for the qualification of new parts through the preparation, review, and approval of PPAPs and will coordinate both with suppliers and internally for their execution. In addition, it includes the performance of process and quality assurance audits on the suppliers under their responsibility.

The work requires active communication with suppliers, with internal customers (Otis factories), as well as cooperation with the Engineering, Manufacturing and Works functions. The status and progress of work must be reported regularly to the management of factories, functions, and region.

We are looking for a qualified Industrial / Mechanical Engineer with demonstrable experience mainly in the resolution of quality problems of mechanical products and use of quality tools, knowledge of the industry standards and the manufacturing processes associated with these products (bending, punching, pressing, laser cutting, mechanical assemblies, steel processing, etc.) to carry out audits of them in addition of working in the problem resolution, and preferably also basic knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and electronic products and processes. The candidate must demonstrate customer focus, passion for quality, and motivation to obtain results.

The Supplier Quality Engineer reports directly to the Supplier Quality Manager of Otis Spain, responsible for the area in the three Spanish factories.



On a typical day you will:
 

  • Liderar la resolución oportuna de reclamaciones del cliente, tanto internas como rechazos de fábrica durante la producción como externas detectas en las instalaciones durante el montaje del ascensor o durante el funcionamiento del mismo y que son responsabilidad de un proveedor.
  • Cooperar con otras funciones: Ingeniería, Fabricación y Obras para alcanzar los objetivos
  • Utilizar herramientas de calidad y proceder según las políticas y procedimientos de la empresa para el análisis exitoso de problemas de producto.
  • Registrar progreso y resultados en los sistemas electrónicos Otis (ETQ, otros)
  • Comunicar con los clientes el resultado del trabajo
  • Reportar regularmente al responsable del Departamento para el reporte al responsable Europeo del área y otras funciones.
  • Aplicar las acciones necesarias a los proveedores externos
  • Completar cualificaciones de piezas nuevas o modificadas que vayan a ser suministradas por proveedores (PPAPs)
  • Participar en la homologación de calidad de nuevos proveedores.
  • Realizar auditoría de proceso en proveedores.

  • Lead the timely resolution of customer complaints, both internal and factory rejections during production and external detected in the facilities during the assembly of the elevator or during its operation and which are the responsibility of a supplier.
  • Cooperate with other functions: Engineering, Manufacturing and Works to achieve the objectives
  • Use quality tools and proceed according to the company's policies and procedures for the successful analysis of product problems.
  • Record progress and results in Otis electronic systems (ETQ, others)
  • Communicate with clients the result of the work
  • Report regularly to the head of the Department for reporting to the European head of the area and other functions.
  • Apply the necessary actions to external suppliers
  • Complete qualifications of new or modified parts to be supplied by suppliers (PPAPs)
  • Participate in the quality approval of new suppliers.
  • Perform process audit on suppliers.


What You Will Need to be Successful:
 

Educación / Experiencia

Programas de grado o máster en Ingeniería Industrial, Ingeniería Mecánica o Ingeniería de Tecnologías Industriales.

Experiencia mínima de 3 años en empresas industriales realizando labores de calidad.

Experiencia previa en el área de gestión de la calidad, preferentemente calidad de los proveedores, incluyendo la resolución de problemas de calidad y cualificación de nuevas piezas.

Conocimiento de los procesos productivos asociados piezas mecánicas (plegado, punzonado, prensado, corte laser, montajes mecánicos, procesado de acero, etc).

Valorables conocimientos básicos de otros tipos de productos y procesos (eléctricos, electromecánicos y electrónicos).

Bachelor's or master's degree programs in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology Engineering.

Minimum experience of 3 years in industrial companies.

Previous experience in the area of quality management, preferably supplier quality, including the resolution of quality problems, qualification of new parts and suppliers’ audits.

Knowledge of the production processes associated with mechanical parts (bending, punching, pressing, laser cutting, mechanical assemblies, steel processing, etc.).

Basic knowledge of other types of products and processes (electrical, electromechanical and electronic) is an asset.

Quality Engineering course or module preferred.
