Job Title: Product Engineer

Exp: 8 – 12 Years

On a typical day you will:

1. Backlog Management & Technical Execution

• Assist in maintaining, prioritizing, and grooming the product backlog using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Translate complex business requests into clear, technical User Stories and Acceptance Criteria that speak the language of software developers.
• Define and map data flows, logic dependencies, and simple database requirements for newly requested features.

2. Agile Team & Technical Collaboration

• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Refinement, Retrospectives).
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for engineers and QA testers to clarify functional requirements.
• Leverage your understanding of the .NET framework and C# development patterns to better estimate dependencies, technical debt, and architectural impacts during planning sessions.

3. Data Analysis & Database Querying

• Write functional SQL queries to analyze database tables, investigate system bugs, validate data integrity, and run ad-hoc reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in defining data schemas or field mappings when planning application integrations, reporting features, or backend upgrades.

4. Testing, Launch, & Quality Assurance

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and write functional testing scenarios.
• Utilize basic debugging and SQL verification to ensure developers’ database updates and code changes match business parameters before production deployment.
• Draft release notes, system documentation, and API/data flow mappings to support technical teams and end-users.

What you will need to be successful:

• Experience in SQL: Solid proficiency in SQL (writing SELECT statements, JOINs, subqueries, and data filtering) to query relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience in .NET Ecosystem: A conceptual and foundational understanding of the .NET framework (.NET Core / .NET 5+ / C#) and how web applications, microservices, and APIs are structured.
• Agile Knowledge: Baseline understanding of Scrum or Kanban principles. 
• Communication: Strong ability to "code-switch"—translating complex technical dependencies to business users, and business requirements to developers.
