We are actively searching for an experienced and highly skilled Staff Software Engineer who possesses a robust proficiency in crafting production-grade code, particularly in Java and Spring Boot, to develop high-performance services. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive expertise to contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in elevating our technological capabilities and ensuring the seamless execution of sophisticated software projects. Your day-to-day at Orkes:

-Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and implement critical components of our  software services, ensuring seamless integration within the overall architecture.
-Pioneer the development of innovative user interfaces and features, driving the enhancement of user experiences and contributing to the overall usability of our software solutions.
-Actively engage in the exploration, investigation, and prototyping of cutting-edge concepts and technologies, staying at the forefront of industry trends to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes by providing insights, best practices, and recommendations based on your wealth of experience.
-Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
-Conduct thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback to maintain code quality, scalability, and adherence to coding standards.
-Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable software solutions.
-You will be a part of an on-call rotation ensuring our services are up and running and customers have a smooth experience

Qualities that will help you succeed:
 
-8+ years professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer, Solution Architect, DevOps Engineer, or a combination of these.
-At least 2+ years with an observability stack: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, DataDog, New Relic.
-Fluent coding experience in one or more of the following: Java, C#, Python, GoLang, Javascript.
-Proven experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding.
-Proven experience designing and implementing architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
