Software Development Director

As a Director in OCI Compute, you will build cross organization teams, such as quality and developer efficiency. The quality engineering team will work closely with core service teams to evaluate gaps in resiliency, evaluate service and code quality, define a quality bar across compute, implement automation to audit quality and service resiliency. In addition, you will lead the compute data engineering and data science organization that is responsible for ingesting, transforming, maintaining and analyzing cross compute data for various business needs such as improving utilization, improving repair time and availability and enable capacity forecasting. A background in building resilient cloud services as well as in data engineering is a must. A proven background in hiring and building high performance engineering teams is required to be successful in this role.

OCI Compute is looking for a software development director to lead the compute quality and data teams. An ideal candidate has a background in cloud infrastructure and services, server technology, software systems and can independently lead high performance teams to deliver on high priority cross organization projects. A background in operating systems, compute architecture, scalability, resiliency, data engineering, familiarity with virtualization, CPU and GPU systems, demonstrated background in building and delivering high quality software at scale is important to this role. The ability to think about business problems from the point of view of our customers, manage resources, analyze and process technical information and to lead other managers to successfully deliver software projects driven by measurable goals, as well as experience with communicating up the leadership chain is a must.
