Site Reliability Developer 3

Short-term, the resource will deliver database support on the SQL Server database platform. Key responsibilities will encompass Installation, Upgradation, Migration, Patching, Soarian Solution support, 12/7 on-call support, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service requests. Additionally, the resource will play a vital role in critical projects involving SQL Server cost optimization.

In the long run, the resource will transition into supporting SQL Server to Oracle Migrations, Data Conversion, and Code Conversion. They will be tasked with writing T-SQL / PL-SQL Database Programs, managing On-Prem to OCI migrations, and other related duties.

The DBA team oversees the maintenance of over 5000+ SQL Server instances across various US and Global data centres. Core responsibilities include patching, continuous monitoring, upgrades, new installations, handling service requests, providing 24x7 on-call support, configuring High Availability setups, implementing Disaster Recovery Tests, Time Change Events, Soarian DB Copies, Storage Assessments, managing ODBC/Linked Servers, deinstalls, and on-call DB maintenance. In 2024, the team is engaged in multiple critical projects, notably the migration and optimization of the top 12 MS SQL Server solutions to OADB , aimed at reducing expenditure from 30MM to 10MM per year. These projects are operating under very tight deadlines.
