Senior Data Center Low Voltage Engineer I

The Data Center Build Engineer Team designs and constructs physical data center infrastructure to create capacity that supports Oracle Cloud Infrastructure across regions worldwide. This role requires strong expertise in Layer 1 networking, data center facilities such as power and cooling, structured cabling solutions, and vendor management, along with a proven history of building and supporting low-voltage physical data center infrastructure.

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking a Senior Data Center Low Voltage Engineer to join the organization. This individual will bring an innovative mindset and share a passion for success in the cloud marketplace. The role involves close collaboration with the data center development organization and Oracle vendors to build, maintain, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure operations.

The Region Build Implementation team provides technical expertise by identifying, evaluating, and developing cost-effective systems and procedures that meet business and user requirements. The role involves configuring system settings and options, planning and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, and developing detailed system specifications aligned with business needs. The position also includes designing components of automated systems and providing consultation to end users when needed. The role may involve leading cross-functional teams to resolve business or system-related issues. The individual serves as a leading contributor both independently and as part of a team, while providing guidance and mentoring to others. The work is highly complex and non-routine and requires advanced technical and business expertise within the area of specialization. The position typically requires eight years of relevant experience and a BA or BS degree.
