Principal Application Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, development, and optimization of large-scale distributed systems and analytics platforms.

In this role, you will build scalable, highly available data infrastructure and real-time analytics capabilities that support critical OCI services. You will guide complex technical initiatives from initial design through production deployment, influence architectural direction, and promote engineering excellence across the organization.

You will collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers, designers, customers, and other stakeholders to translate business and customer requirements into secure, resilient, and high-performance solutions. You will also mentor engineers and strengthen development practices across architecture, coding, testing, automation, observability, and operations.

Principal Software Engineer – OCI Resource Analytics About Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and the Team Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers enterprise-grade cloud services designed to support highly available, secure, and scalable workloads. The OCI Resource Analytics team builds platforms that provide customers with visibility into their cloud inventory, including OCI resources, relationships, and configuration metadata. It provides a near-real-time, centralized inventory of cloud resources, their configurations, and their relationships across selected OCI regions and tenancies. The service processes and analyzes large volumes of infrastructure and business data to deliver near-real-time insights, support capacity planning and forecasting, and provide AI-powered recommendations. You will join a collaborative engineering organization focused on distributed systems, cloud-native applications, data platforms, analytics, and operational excellence.
