As the M365 Modern Workplace Lead at our global firm, you will have oversight and overall responsibility for delivering services to our users using primarily Microsoft cloud-based technology. This vital role encompasses the development and management of a secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure that supports all stakeholder needs, including mobile integration. Your responsibilities will go beyond transitioning systems; you will create an operating model geared towards automated, code-driven management and support excellence, ensuring our infrastructure supports first-rate user experiences and operational efficiency.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is your chance to directly impact Optiver’s cutting-edge trading systems. Your challenge is to further innovate and maintain the foundation underlying our wider infrastructure.

  • Global Technology Leadership: Support the global transition to Microsoft cloud based platforms (M365), balancing continued on-premise requirements with a global cloud-based Microsoft environment. Ensure the technology stack meets the diverse needs of stakeholders across our regions.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Support the efforts to deliver a resilient, secure, and scalable environment that enables code-based management and automation. Develop a model for automated deployments and continuous optimization, ensuring quality through systematic testing and alerting.

  • Support Excellence: Establish a framework for delivering first-class support, ensuring our internal service desk teams are able to efficiently support users in the new cloud environment and work effectively with the engineering team for escalations and service design.

  • Collaboration Enhancement: Leverage the full capabilities of the Microsoft suite, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, to facilitate improved collaboration and efficient workflow.

  • Security and Compliance Rigor: Partner with the Security Operations team to uphold stringent security and compliance standards in the ongoing management of the cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Strategic Technology Roadmap: Collaborate with our Product Managers to develop a technology roadmap that anticipates future needs and incorporates emerging technologies and industry trends.


WHO YOU ARE

  • An Experienced Technologist: You have at least 10 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft platforms. As a continuous learner, you have relevant certifications in Microsoft and other technologies.

  • A Proven Delivery Leader: You’re an evangelist for and practitioner in doing things right the first time. You have a solid history of leading complex IT projects (especially migrations to M365) to the finish line by wielding best practice program management..

  • Team Builder & Collaborative Leader: You have at least 5 years of experience leading, inspiring, and developing teams on a global scale. You ensure stakeholder engagement across the world by emphasizing effective communication and collaborative success.

  • Entrepreneurial Thinker: You’re a visionary self-starter who excels in time management, navigating ambiguity, driving iterative progress to deliver value in real time, and strategically expanding impact to foster innovation.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Extensive collaboration service knowledge: Understand best practices for implementing and usage of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform.

    • Automation: Demonstrable experience with leading automation technologies in both cloud and on-premise environments (e.g. Terraform, PowerShell DSC, Bicep)

    • Migration Expert: Demonstrated pragmatic expertise in managing and working in large-scale on-premise to Microsoft cloud technology migrations .

    • Cloud & Security: Skilled in building cloud-optimized IT infrastructures that are secure, scalable, and resilient.

    • On-Premise technology: Experience managing and working with on-premise Microsoft environments.

    • AzureAD/Entra identity management: Users, Traditional Groups (Security and Distribution), M365 groups.
