What you'll do:

Within the Infrastructure Department, various teams collaborate to build out Optiver’s intricate and dependable infrastructure layers. The team are adept at taking industry solutions and customizing them to create a best-in-class infrastructure. In this role, you will become a pivotal member of the team and drive our technology forward while ensuring the performance of our Windows based trading-systems. We are looking for a talented Windows SRE to join them and work across a host of challenges.

  • Provide technical leadership, emphasizing technical expertise and stakeholder management;
  • Offer clear direction and implement team strategies efficiently;
  • Design, deploy and maintain a global configuration management system (Infrastructure-as-code);
  • Develop and deploy hardening baselines, improving our security posture;
  • Elevate our next-generation observability stack by designing advanced Windows monitoring systems that operate effectively at a large scale;
  • Work on automation, build, configuration, deployment and administration tasks with PowerShell and Python;
  • Fixing incidents, solving technical ad hoc problems, performance monitoring and managing the system capacity;
  • Collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams to implement updates in our infrastructure and enhance support for general operations;
  • Work with an engaged and motivated team, all experts in their field;

 

Who you are:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading technological initiatives across regional domains, with a track record of driving innovation and effective stakeholder collaboration
  • Proven hands-on technical expertise, with a history of aligning infrastructure standards to strategic technical objectives and roadmaps;
  • Solid expertise on Windows servers and systems like Active Directory, DNS, SCOM, SQL Server;
  • A focus on automating and solid scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell and/or Python);
  • Configuration management tooling (e.g. PowerShell DSC);
  • Knowledge of virtualization and networking, specifically VMware;
  • Confident with backup solutions (i.e. Commvault);
