Senior Consultant, Data Management and Governance

Opticos is a Nordic management consulting firm with a strong IT management practice. We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant with data management experience to join our India office, located in Bengaluru.

About the Role

·      As a data management consultant, you help global clients design and implement data strategies that ensure data integrity while enforcing governance policies.

·      Maintain the quality and compliance of an organization's data assets.

·      You are a SME guiding organizations with best practices and frameworks to manage and streamline their data assets

·      You develop innovative and practical solutions to complex data and business challenges.

·      You collaborate with diverse, multi-cultural teams, demonstrating empathy in all interactions.

·      You ensure attention to detail and a strong focus on quality in all deliverables.

·      You take end-to-end ownership of projects and client engagements.

·      You manage stakeholders effectively by building strong relationships with both clients and internal team members.

·      You drive workshops and training programs to facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building.

·      You demonstrate motivation and self-drive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, consistently taking initiative and ownership.

·      You communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats, having excellent presentation skills. 

Candidate Requirements

·      5-8 years of professional experience, specifically in the areas of Data Strategy, Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Architecture. This experience should ideally be gained within consulting-led environments.

·      A solid understanding of major data types, including master data, transactional data, real-time data, and analytics data, is essential. Candidates must be familiar with the unique requirements and challenges associated with each data category.

·      Experience from sectors such as Manufacturing, Retail, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) is required, particularly where this experience has been gained on European projects.

·      Proficiency in developing business models, synthesizing comprehensive reports, documenting business processes, and creating effective storyboards that communicate complex information clearly.

·      Prior experience working with, or on behalf of, a leading global consulting firm is highly desirable.

·      Educational qualifications should include a degree in Science, Technology, or a related field, complemented by a post-graduate degree in Management (MBA or PGP) from a top-tier business school.

·      Exposure to DAMA-DMBOK framework with CDMP certification will be considered an advantage.

·      Understanding of delivering automated solutions using agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies will be seen as an additional advantage.
