About the Role

Ontra is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Go-to-Market, reporting to our Senior Manager, Data Analytics, to join its growing Data team!

We’re looking for someone excited to partner with our Finance, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations teams, helping them to develop key metrics and uncover new opportunities, build robust data foundations, and influence their data collection and modeling strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Analytical Work: Conduct detailed data analysis to drive decision-making processes and provide actionable insights.
  • Focus Area Development: Own data analytics in high-impact areas within teams, establish measurable success goals, provide insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Project Autonomy: Drive analytical projects and requests autonomously, ensuring that deliverables meet stakeholder expectations, get actioned on, and land the planned impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively work with stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate insights clearly.
  • Mentoring and Partnership: Collaborate with and provide guidance to other analysts, data engineers and data scientists, fostering growth and enhancing team capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Expansion: Explore new opportunities for cross-team collaboration, propose strategic initiatives, and understand departmental interrelationships for optimal impact.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years in roles involving data manipulation, exploratory data analysis, and delivering insights through data visualizations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced fluency in SQL for constructing complex queries and high proficiency in industry BI tools, with experience or interest in Sigma. Intermediate scripting skills in Python or R for analysis.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, metrics (LTV, GRR, NDR), and forecasting, with the ability to build and interpret complex financial models is a plus. 
  • Data Pipeline Expertise: Proficient in building data pipelines in the semantic layer using DBT or similar tools, with experience in data modeling, including creating data pipelines for the dim layer.  
  • Operational Analysis: Skilled in tracking and analyzing operational KPIs, with experience in identifying workflow bottlenecks and recommending process improvements.

Pay Transparency
Ontra takes individual candidate location, experience, and skills into consideration when determining compensation. The base pay range is listed below. Additionally, all positions are eligible for unit-based equity grants.

Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission or other variable compensation structures, which is not included in the below base pay range.
