In this role, you'll lead a team of analysts while working closely with product, marketing, finance, and technology leadership to identify opportunities, set the analytics agenda, and drive impactful initiatives across the organization.

Your Day-to-Day

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts, setting the bar for analytical rigor and business impact.
• Own the analytics team's roadmap and priorities, balancing ad-hoc requests with long-term strategic projects.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and other leadership stakeholders to define the analytics agenda and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, clear requirements, and actionable recommendations.
• Guide the design and implementation of new products, features, and internal processes from an analytics perspective.
• Define and govern KPIs, business cases, and impact measurement frameworks across the organization.
• Oversee the architecture of the data warehouse's analytics layer, including views, aggregation tables, and self-serve reporting infrastructure.
• Own the semantic layer strategy – metrics, dimensions, and business logic – ensuring consistent, trustworthy reporting across teams.
• Establish best practices for SQL, data modeling, and analytics workflows, and ensure the team adheres to them.
• Represent the analytics team in leadership discussions, presenting findings, recommendations, and roadmap updates to stakeholders and management.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development for the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / Business Analyst / Product Analyst or related role, including 1-2+ years in a formal Team Lead or managerial role overseeing analysts.
• Proven track record leading a team — setting priorities, managing output quality, and driving professional growth of team members.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn complexity into clarity, and to teach that skill to others.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across cross-functional and dynamic environments.
• Strong SQL skills, including designing views, CTEs, and complex aggregations – required.
• Hands-on experience building or governing a semantic layer (e.g., dbt metrics, Looker LookML, Cube, or similar) – required or strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts – star/snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, aggregation strategies.
• Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or regulated environments – significant advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
