Technical Engineer - Protective Relaying

Location: China

Responsibilities 

• Develop methods and concepts for testing domestic protection devices
• Generate standardized testing procedures for the domestic market
• Work in close cooperation with the development teams at other OMICRON locations, primarily Germany
• Ensure high level of quality and customer satisfaction with testing templates
• Work closely with the Product Manager and Marketing & Sales on achieving business success in domestic market
• Assist in product and application support for internal and external customers for testing relay, metering, automation, and control equipment
• Assist in preparing and delivering in-person or virtual product and application training
• Assist in preparing application notes, magazine articles, and technical papers

 

Your Profile 

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology, minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience 
• Have up-to-date knowledge of protective relaying applications and ideally hands-on experience in relay commissioning
• Have a solid comprehension of software programming (Visual Basic, C#)
• Open, communicative, and flexible team player
• Have excellent command of Chinese (Mandarin) and English
• Willingness to travel (up to 20 %)
