Mechanical Engineering Internship - Industrial Facilities
Location: Lincoln, NE; Omaha, NE
Department: Industrial - Facilities Engineering & Design - GN

Job Description
- 3D modeling of mechanical systems
- Pipe stress and pressure vessel analysis
- Hydraulic modeling
- HVAC system design, including load calculations, duct and piping layout, equipment selection, and energy efficiency analysis
- Coordination of HVAC systems with architectural and structural elements, as well as other building systems

You bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or other 3D modeling tools
- Coursework or experience in HVAC design or thermodynamics
- Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, IMC)
- Interest in mechanical systems for industrial facilities, including ventilation and process cooling
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
We are looking to hire two individuals to work from either our Lincoln or Omaha locations.
