The Staff Engineer Opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role contributes to the overall mission of the team of enhancing the developer journey by designing and implementing meaningful, secure and collaborative features that create an enterprise ready experience for our customers, with a focus on improving the user experience while achieving engineering excellence.
You will also contribute to the improvements of our team delivery and collaboration processes and support other colleagues, their growth and the overall maturity of our team.
As part of your day to day work in this role, you’ll also find opportunities to support cross functional / cross domain initiatives that have impact beyond our team’s subdomain and contribute to higher level company goals.
You Will:

Be part of a diverse and collaborative team consisting of engineers, a product manager and a designer.

Provide technical direction to the team, detecting technical improvement opportunities and taking action to design and implement them.

Mentor or coach other engineers to support their growth and bring them along

Design and develop features, APIs, and fixes to handle our current and future scale.

Help our customers have a great experience with our products.

Be a strong independent contributor.

Participate in and help improve the team’s agile process.

Engage with the support team as the last level of escalation for tickets.
You Have:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Expertise in designing, building and maintaining public or internal APIs with focus on security and performance.

Solid understanding of the Node.JS/Javascript/Typescript ecosystem

A bias for well tested code and relevant unit/integration/end to end/performance testing experience
