Senior Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Test Manager

Position Summary

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Test Manager supporting Eglin AFB, FL under the TMAS III contract.

 

The ABMS Test Manager will oversee complex Command and Control (C2) system‑of‑systems test efforts, including planning, documentation development, execution oversight, test reporting, and cross‑stakeholder coordination. This position requires extensive experience in Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E), advanced knowledge of DoD test documentation, and strong ability to manage multi‑program test activities across diverse technical domains.

 

This is a full‑time onsite position at Eglin AFB with travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to: 

• Manage test schedules and documentation for complex C2 system‑of‑systems test projects from initiation to completion
• Manage information systems for team collaboration, documentation management, and meeting schedules
• Conduct detailed analysis of courses of action (COAs) for test projects and provide recommendations for improvements or optimization to ABMS Test leadership
• Write, edit, and maintain technical test documentation and track test program status
• Organize and interpret data to inform DoD decision makers, converting data into actionable knowledge to support operations and shape technology/resource investments
• Support test engineers while interfacing with System Program Offices, other military services, and development contractors
• Travel to various TDY locations as required

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance:Active Secret clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Education:Master’s Degree in a technical field

Years of Experience:10 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education)

• Extensive DT&E experience
• Experience producing or reviewing formal DoD test documentation (TEMP, TES, Test Plans, Test Reports)
• Experience with DR processes under Agile or DevSecOps development
• Advanced proficiency in Office 365 suite
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders across DoD programs

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret

• Experience in advanced technology test environments
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and software development practices
• Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps frameworks
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA workspaces
• In‑depth knowledge of DODI 5000.89 / DAFI 99‑103 testing guidance
• Understanding of Middle Tier and Software Acquisition pathways
• In‑depth knowledge of battle management systems across multiple security levels

Technical Skills

• Prior Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) experience
• Experience writing, reviewing, or editing:
  • Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP)
  • Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES)
  • Test Plans
  • Test Reports
• Experience with Deficiency Reporting (DR) processes for agile and DevSecOps software programs
• Advanced proficiency in Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
• Ability to manage project scope, schedules, documentation requirements, and cross‑stakeholder collaboration
• Familiarity with highly technical environments or advanced technology test programs (preferred)
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and software development practices (preferred)
• Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies (preferred)
• Experience using Confluence and JIRA collaboration tools (preferred)
• In‑depth knowledge of DODI 5000.89 and DAFI 99‑103 Capabilities‑Based Test and Evaluation (preferred)
• Knowledge of Middle Tier and Software Acquisition pathways (preferred)
• Understanding of battle management processes and multi‑level security systems to support complex multi‑system test plan development (preferred)
