Duties:

Maintain and continuously automate a large, complex cloud-based computing environment. Design, configure, implement and manage a fully automated workflow for provisioning and maintaining a complex, highly available cloud environment using infrastructure as code. Develop and maintain a library of deployable, tested, and documented automation design scripts, processes, and procedures for deploying services to the cloud. Manage DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker, Kafka and container management systems. Integrate Apache Kafka with and create Kafka pipelines for real time processing using Java Spring Boot technologies. Integrate new requirements in monitoring solutions in Ansible, Terraform scripts, Docker and Jenkins. Work on various open source and Kafka source/Sink connectors and implement Kafka producers using Kafka topologies. Use Terraform, provision and manage infrastructure in computing environments, making it an essential toll for implementation in DevOps practices. Lead and participate in cloud computing environment build-outs, software installation, maintenance and support, including but not limited to, patches, fixes, end-of-life preparation, and upgrades. Assess and plan for capacity needs within the cloud platform and forecast accordingly. Lead the development of technology roadmaps and end-of-life technology plans. Communicate project and operational service issues to senior management promptly with observations, decisions, and recommendations for corrective measures. Manage and participate in the implementation of production changes during defined maintenance windows and support on-call rotation. Implement and manage rotational support schedules for afterhours and weekend work for area of responsibility. Institute corrective actions to address audit and other regulatory or compliance findings. Write and maintain documentation of relevant systems, procedures and processes. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation’s Employee Referral Program.*

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in CS, mathematics, engineering or related and five (5) years of experience as a software developer, principal engineer, cloud engineer or related.

Special Skills Required:

Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Integrate Apache Kafka with and create Kafka pipelines for real time processing using Java Spring Boot technologies; 2) Integrate new requirements in monitoring solutions in Ansible, Terraform scripts, Docker and Jenkins; 3) Work on various open source and Kafka source/Sink connectors and implement Kafka producers using Kafka topologies; 4) Use Terraform, provision and manage infrastructure in computing environments, making it an essential tool for implementation in DevOps practices.

Salary:

$149,781 - $173,000
