Why Join

Join a role where you will deliver a secure, scalable, and compliant Loan Origination platform that drives digital lending transformation in a highly regulated banking environment. You will shape credit workflows, onboarding, and lending automation while leveraging AI technologies (including MCP). This is an opportunity to influence architecture and engineering standards at scale, build a high-performing regional squad, and collaborate closely with business, credit risk, and compliance stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with MAS TRM and secure engineering practices.

How You Succeed

You succeed by delivering robust, compliant, and scalable systems aligned with MAS regulations and internal risk controls. You build a strong engineering and quality culture with high automation and low defect rates, while effectively balancing speed and governance. You foster a high-performing, engaged team and maintain strong audit readiness. You establish yourself as a trusted partner to business, credit risk, and compliance stakeholders while leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency and quality.

What You Do

  • You lead a regional squad of 12–20 engineers, providing coaching and mentorship while driving end-to-end delivery of Loan Origination solutions, including compliance screening, credit assessment, workflow orchestration, and document management.

  • You provide hands-on technical leadership using Java and API-driven architectures, while driving automation and testing practices across the squad. You ensure system reliability through observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Kibana) and implement strong quality engineering practices.

  • You drive CI/CD practices (Jenkins, GitLab) to enable controlled and secure deployments with integrated testing and security checks.

  • You manage data integrity through SQL and database validation, and leverage AI technologies to enhance development efficiency, automation, and intelligent lending capabilities. You collaborate closely with business, operations, and regulatory stakeholders while ensuring proper documentation, communication, and audit traceability.

Who You Are

  • 8–12 years of experience in software engineering (banking/financial services preferred)

  • 2–5 years of experience leading teams of 12–20 members

  • Experience delivering Loan Origination Systems or digital lending platforms

Core Skills (Must-Have)

  • Strong Java development expertise

  • Solid experience in the Loan Origination / lending domain

  • Proven team leadership and delivery ownership

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar)

  • Familiarity with MAS TRM guidelines and regulatory environments

Preferred Skills (Good-to-Have)

  • Experience with test automation tools: ACCELQ / Playwright / Selenium

  • Experience with AI technologies (MCP or similar)

  • Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Kibana, logging platforms)

Strengths

  • Strong understanding of credit workflows and lending processes

  • Experience integrating with core banking systems, credit bureaus, and KYC/AML platforms

  • Good knowledge of data governance, risk controls, and compliance practices

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of ownership, accountability, and governance mindset
