The Area Product Owner (APO) supports Product Owners in advancing the Risk Management Division's AI, Data and Digital Transformation agenda. The role partners closely with business, technology and data stakeholders to drive successful implementation and adoption of digital capabilities, ensuring transformation initiatives deliver intended business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support Product Owners in defining, planning and executing AI, data and digital transformation initiatives across the Division.
- Coordinate end-to-end change management activities, including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, communications planning and training execution.
- Facilitate engagement with business users, technology teams and functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on transformation objectives.
- Support backlog refinement, requirements gathering and prioritisation activities to enable effective delivery of product roadmaps.
- Drive user readiness and adoption through targeted communications, training and engagement interventions.
- Monitor and analyse adoption metrics, user feedback and benefits realisation outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards and governance materials for senior management and steering committees.
- Support capability-building initiatives to enhance digital, data and AI literacy across the Division.
- Identify risks, issues and dependencies that may impact implementation success and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in change management, digital transformation, product management, project management, business transformation or related fields.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery, digital products, AI-enabled solutions or data transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies, stakeholder engagement and organisational adoption practices.
- Proven experience in supporting delivery of AI, Generative AI, data analytics, digital, or enterprise technology solutions from concept through production.
- Good understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI governance, and data-driven product development.
- Experience operating in Agile environments with hands-on knowledge of Scrum, backlog management, prioritization frameworks, and product lifecycle management.
- Passionate about innovation and leveraging AI to solve business problems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
- Strong planning, coordination and execution capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience in financial services, risk management or banking transformation initiatives will be advantageous.
- Collaborative, proactive and self-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable and comfortable operating in a dynamic transformation environment.
