The Digital Services Te Pūnaha Matihiko branch is at the forefront of digital strategy, building capability and enabling customer-centred digital services that lift digital maturity across the public sector and Te Tari Taiwhenua. 

The role | Te tūnga   

This fixed‑term role through to 30 September 2026, works closely with the Support Services team, ensuring we meet reporting requirements efficiently across a range of digital products and common capability services. You will provide analytical support to the Government Digital Delivery Services group, offering advice and insights on how best to use data to strengthen reporting and analytical practices. 

A key part of the role involves analysing consumption data and trends to support forecasting, reviewing raw data and shaping it for use in Power BI reporting, and contributing to aged‑debt management by creating and maintaining investigation metrics. Through your expertise, you will support better decision‑making and help improve the way we use information across the group.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar regulatory, compliance, or analytical role 
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capability, with sound judgement 
  • Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI and Google Analytics 360 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and gain buy‑in for recommendations 
  • Good understanding of government planning, reporting and performance processes 
  • Exceptional written communication skills, able to translate complex information for diverse audiences 
  • Understanding or experience working with ICT services or digital products is an advantage

The appointing range for this role $71,767 - $89,310, depending on your level of experience.
