NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Generalist Software Engineer with a strong background in computer graphics, algorithms, data structures, and compute systems. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of technology and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex problems and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, develop, and optimize software solutions for compute systems and computer graphics applications.

  • Implement and maintain efficient algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and ensure seamless functionality.

  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization to ensure software meets high-performance standards.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer graphics, algorithms, and compute systems, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to best practices.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of work experience.

  • Extensive experience in computer graphics, including knowledge of rendering techniques, shading languages, and graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan).

  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, with the ability to implement and optimize them for various applications.

  • Proven experience in compute systems, including parallel programming, GPU computing (e.g., CUDA, OpenCL), and performance optimization.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and/or Java.

  • Experience with software development tools and practices, including version control (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and testing frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and their application in computer graphics and compute systems.

  • Familiarity with real-time rendering engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and virtual production techniques.
