Senior Engineer, Network and Telecom

We are now looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team  to focus on the design, implementation, automation/programming and operation of the Network Infrastructure.  We build scalable high-performance software defined networking (SDN) solutions for NVIDIA’s Multi-Tenant Cloud running GPU-accelerated applications like GeForce NOW (Cloud Gaming) and Picasso (Generative AI for visual applications). GeForce NOW is the world’s first cloud-gaming service capable of streaming PC and mobile games, with 10+ million users. NVIDIA's invention of the GPU 1999 fueled the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI— the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. What you will be doing:

• Design, develop and deploy next generation horizontally scalable multi-tenant network architecture.

• Design, prototype, implement and support a highly performant and efficient strategy for a large-scale, global network infrastructure.

• Also design and develop software for monitoring the overall network health for effective operations.

• Provide L1-L3 support for both Infrastructure and Software Defined Networking

• Create a kubernetes cluster from scratch with ansible and Jenkins pipelines

• Implement security strategies and standard methodologies to mitigate DDOS, emerging threats and other network related malicious activities.

• Perform maintenance, configuration changes and upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security updates to network devices

• Prepare and maintain documentation detailing the configurations of deployed solutions.

• Participate in incident response to resolve escalated service issues involving transit lines, cross-connects, switches and other parts of networking infrastructure.

• Perform analysis, diagnosis and remediation of highly sophisticated networking problems.

• Scalability mentality - design approach lends to repeatability and automation.

• Network automation/programming experience and scripting expertise in python, ansible is strongly preferred.

What we need to see:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

• Certifications desired (CCIE, CCNP).

• 6+ years of experience with expertise in solving problems in high performance networks, network operations and service optimization in highly-available, large-scale, multi-site, international environments.

• 6+ years of development experience in a host and infrastructure networking.

• Deep understanding of various networking protocols, IP networking and LAN Switching.

• Experience in networking automation with coding skills in Python and Ansible

• Expertise in internet routing, traffic engineering and private and public peering.

• Background with carrier engagement regarding transit/circuit delivery and associated provisioning/troubleshooting.

• Experience in networking automation.

• Good communication and soft skillset with ability to influence and establish relationships with other software and IT functional groups such as development, server, storage and security teams.

• CI/CD: Jenkins pipeline, git actions

• Orchestration/Automation: Ansible, Foreman

• Familiarity of concepts for virtualization environments: VRF, OVS, overlays, Open-Switch.
