Terga System-on-Chip is NVIDIA’s strategic platform powering client, edge computing, mobile gaming, and AI robot industries. The Android team developed Android products in the field of consumer entertainment products based on Tegra SoC platforms. We are now looking for an Android BSP Software Engineer! Join our Android software platform team for Nvidia Tegra based products. If you crave state-of-the-art technology and a first-class working environment, we are the place. If you are striving for a deep understanding of operating system, kernel driver, and microprocessor architecture, and are capable of crafting highly portable high-performance software architectures and have deeply strong full system debugging and programming experience, we want you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop Tegra products on Linux kernel and Android platform.

  • Drive to the best user experience with bootloader, kernel modifications/extensions, driver implementation/enhancement, system integration on top of NVIDIA Tegra SOC.

  • Resolve stress/stability issues.

  • Independently drive resolution across multiple teams.

  • New technology research and system architecture design.

What we need to see:

  • Hands-on experience on bootloader, and Linux kernel drivers.

  • Strong skills in debugging kernel/driver code functionalities and root causing kernel panics, crash, stability, stress, and security issues.

  • Rich experience in ARM SoC development and debugging.

  • Experience in device peripheral drivers sch as I2C, SPI, PCIe, NVMe, UFS, EMMC or USB.

  • Excellent C/C++ and ARM assembly programming skills.

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multinational, multi-time-zone corporate environment.

  • Self-motivated teammate.

  • Good English reading/writing & interpersonal skills.

  • More than 5 years’ experience in software development teams with BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proactive and able to work efficiently across different functional teams.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Practical experience in modifying Android platform internal components and adding new features.

  • Cross domain knowledge on embedded system software and hardware.

  • Experience in productization of large-scale end user devices.

  • Experience in Android platform development.
