WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Define and own the end to end execution of mechanical product development, including feasibility studies, technology trade-offs, prototype builds, customer informed iterations, validation testing, agency certification, and commercialization.
  • Serve as technical owner for key mechanical platforms, ensuring alignment across product families and regions.
  • Establish mechanical design-for-manufacturability standards, partnering with operations to influence tooling strategy, capital investments and supplier capabilities.
  • Establish and lead all aspects of mechanical design standards, specifications, and validation approaches to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across program.
  • Plan, complete, and refine engineering tasks by translating product targets into technical requirements, defining clear achievements, and maintaining a prioritized engineering backlog that supports NPI timelines.
  • Partner with teams across multiple functions including operations, quality, sourcing, product management and sales to support launch readiness.
  • Maintain full accountability for engineering work within the gated NPI process, ensuring readiness for each phase and driving on time progression through the development cycle.

  • 10+ Years of progressive product development experience, including ownership of sophisticated mechanical systems.
  • Advanced English.
  • Availability to travel up to 20-30% of time.
  • Proven ability to set mechanical design strategy and guide technical decision‑making across multiple programs.
  • Deep expertise in machining and plastics, with the ability to assess and prioritize manufacturing processes based on cost, risk, and scalability.
