YOUR TEAM 

Nuna’s Data Team consists of Data Platform Engineering teams building platform tooling, as well as Health Data Analyst and Data Engineering teams utilizing that tooling to instrument customer data pipelines. This team is leading the charge to build scalable data pipelines for Nuna through tooling which enables data experts to be self-sufficient in building, testing, and operating those pipelines with high data quality expectations. The team is building new processes and tooling to better serve our existing and future customers, including a common data model, rules engines, and data quality frameworks. The team will also be responsible for migrating existing customers to new infrastructure, data pipeline patterns, and the common data model.

YOUR IMPACT

You will be responsible for overseeing the entirety of the Data Team at Nuna, which is a critical component of Nuna’s business. Nuna’s business and applications are dependent on quality data insights and artifacts, and it is the responsibility of this team to build those data artifacts and ensure their quality.

You will lead the team to the creation of next-generation platform tooling to significantly increase the capabilities of Nuna to onboard new and operate existing customers in an efficient manner. You will help the team rally around the future vision, coordinate the execution toward it, and drive new and improved processes in order to scale the business at Nuna.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

• Drive the data platform behind the country’s largest platform for value-based contracts for episodes of care and specialty total cost contracts
• Lead a cross-functional team of builders to accelerate the growth of Nuna through the creation of next generation data platform tooling
• Lead the implementation of processes for optimal SDLC of data pipelines to help ensure stability, repeatability, and quality
• Lead the charge in continued growth in operational excellence and maturity of data pipelines
• Work closely with team leads to understand progress, drive execution, understand needs, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization

YOU BRING

• 10+ years experience or equivalent
• Experience in managing managers
• Experience managing 50+ person orgs
• Deep knowledge of multi-tenant data platforms, ETL concepts, and data quality
• Experience supporting data analysts and working in an integrated engineering/analytic environment
• Exceptional communication and listening skills, you break down problems and generate shared understanding across technical and non-technical audiences
• Significant experience in leadership roles involving the management of multiple teams of varying technical skill sets
• Deep understanding of organizational operations
• Exceptional skills in building roadmaps based on needs of the business, organizing and planning capacity of teams for execution
• Ability to ruthlessly prioritize competing demands across multiple stakeholders

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $267,000 to $338,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
