Senior Software Engineer

Location: Rehovot, IL (Nova HQ) (IL)

Description

Nova is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Server Platform team and help develop the next generation of process control solutions for the semiconductor industry. Working closely with software, hardware, algorithm, and QA teams, you will deliver high-quality, scalable software using modern development practices and AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and develop clean, maintainable C#/.NET components and services.
• Integrate software workflows with hardware interfaces, algorithms and data services.
• Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate implementation, refactoring, testing and debugging while taking ownership of code quality.
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews and resolve performance and reliability issues.
• Deploy and troubleshoot containerized services on Kubernetes; use Python for tooling and automation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Expert-level C#/.NET, with strong object-oriented design, concurrency and debugging skills.
• Strong practical GitHub Copilot skills, including creating reusable skills (SKILL.md), context engineering and dedicated agents; ability to review, explain and validate AI-generated code.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience, including deployment and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Python for scripts, automation and integration.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, unit/integration testing and service/API integration.

Advantages:

• Semiconductor or hardware-integrated systems; gRPC, SQL databases and WPF. Experience building in-house AI/LLM infrastructure, including model hosting, integration and evaluation.
