Responsibilities The Director, Clinical Research is responsible for the leadership and coordination of all Clinical Research Operations Programs within the respective scope of practice. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance with developing and monitoring operational budgets, developing and executing strategies, providing research operation oversight and direction to the execution of research trials within scope of practice as needed across the organization. Also responsible for ensuring all research systems, processes and their outcomes comply with standards that meet applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Norton Healthcare policy, as well as any applicable federal and state regulations. Key Accountabilities: Lead internal and encourage external educational opportunities for all research staff. In collaboration with research leadership, develop and maintain Clinical Research SOPs. Actively represent Norton Healthcare Research Program within Norton Healthcare and the external research community while developing and maintaining research business relationships. Partner with key research leadership to develop operational budgets, obtain trial budget approvals and monitor internal departmental budgets for area(s) of specialty. Oversee clinical research operations management within scope of specialty. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating and implementing quality initiatives, maintaining team accountability and participating in strategic planning. Qualifications Required: Three years management to include clinical research in healthcare Bachelor Degree One of: CCRA or CCRC or CCRP Desired: Master Degree Certified Clinical Research Associate Certified Clinical Research Coordinator Certified Clinical Research Professional Registered Nurse
