Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will develop custom scripts and automation workflows to streamline Intune administration tasks, improving efficiency and reducing errors. Design and implement Intune solutions for MDM, MAM, and conditional access to effectively manage mobile and windows devices. Manage mac OS machines by building JAMF policies, profiles, and restrictions that meet industry standards. Maintain operating system images and application packages. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures in Confluence, SharePoint, and ServiceNow knowledge base. Utilize Azure AD, JAMF, Google cloud identity, SSO, and SAML. Utilize advanced PowerShell concepts such as class objects, function calling and regex functionalities. Utilize Microsoft Graph API calls and Integrate JavaScript for server querying and deliver real-time results in a Slack channel. Automate Azure AD group scheduling to Win11 deployment Policy using a CI/CD pipeline, reducing engineers' manual workload, and eliminating need for manual group addition via GUI interface. Utilize login VSI to automate common manual tasks and automate win11 deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) templates for VMware Virtual machines ensuring compatibility for future Windows OS releases. Engineer and improve autopilot solution for Windows devices, enabling seamless zero-touch user experiences through automated device provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes. Telecommuting permitted. Salary $108,326- $139,100 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years (or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years) of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include 2 years with each of the following: (1) Mac OS, Windows OS, and Windows and Mac servers; (2) performance tuning of application stacks, operating systems, and databases; (3) Cloud based PaaS and SaaS platforms; (4) integration points to On Prem infrastructure, including JAMF distribution points on-prem and cloud managed distribution points; (5) Scripting development using Bash, Python, and PowerShell; (6) Azure AD, JAMF, Google cloud identity, SSO, and SAML; and (7) CI/CD and git.
