Software Engineer III

We are looking for a dynamic and talented Software Engineer III to join Field Practice Management Engineering focusing on JavaScript development and application support. You will be working on a high impact modernization effort building an application that delivers value to our field force.  The ideal candidate is full-stack, comfortable working on back-end as well as front-end applications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy applications following the software development life cycle
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the development and deployment of software projects
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure compliance with established coding standards and best practices
• Has an evolving understanding of system-wide architectural challenges
• Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making processes within the team
• Capable of communicating between product, engineering, and the business
• May take on a mentoring role and provide guidance and support to junior technical talent
• Recommend efficiencies to current established development and continuous integration practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years professional application development experience
• 2+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages and practices
• Proven track record of delivering significant and impactful technology solutions
• 2+ years’ professional experience with a JavaScript framework (NodeJs, Express, etc.) and RESTful services (UI Experience with React/Redux is a plus)
• Experience with cloud-based development, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CaaS, and/or Git, Docker, Kubernetes
• Exposure to and understanding of CICD pipelines
• Exposure/Understanding of automated testing concepts: unit testing and Test-Driven Development
• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding of design patterns and architecture
