Software Engineer II

We are looking for phenomenal people to help drive this transformation and shape our future. We are looking for a Software Engineer III to join our team. Our team is responsible for developing and supporting the investment data platform to provide streamlined and governed access to trusted data. The team handles integration to third-party vendors and/or internal data stores as needed so that the back-end implementation is not exposed to consumers. Technologies used by the team include Snowflake, DBT, AWS, Kubernetes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an investment data platform running on Snowflake data cloud
• Enable cloud modernization at scale by developing, releasing, and maintaining repeatable patterns
• Applies engineering best practices in order to analyze and develop software solutions.
• Develops software using established development and continuous integration practices.
• Utilizes established monitoring and automation processes.
• Conducts code evaluations.
• Participates in setting team standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years professional experience required.
• Familiarity using continuous integration and deployment concept
• At least 1 year experience with Python
• At least 1 year experience with one or more: Java, JavaScript, React, SQL
• Familiarity with public cloud and associated technologies (AWS, Azure, Containerization)
• Basic understanding of SQL
• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and dev-ops environment
• Strong technical skills.
• Able to mentor new team members.
• Can communicate clearly to the business
• Self-motivated and able to independently execute a plan

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS serverless patterns, CI/CD using GitLab and deployment using terraform
• Experience using data cloud platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Understanding of investment management business domain is a plus
