Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The software team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Embedded Software Engineer based out of Camarillo, CA. and support our EA-18G Growler Program. All software tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.

What you’ll get to do:
- Develop embedded real-time system software
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team
- Resolve software and system defects
- Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and disciplines
- Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings
- Use project dependent tools including:
- Rational Clear Case, ClearQuest, DOORS
- Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
- Ada, C/C++, C#, Python
- Green Hills Integrity RTOS, Windows, and Linux
Basic Qualifications for Embedded Software Engineer:
- BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 1 years of experience
- Experience with a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#
- Knowledge of object-oriented software development
- Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase, etc.)
- US Citizenship required
- Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Strong collaborative mindset
- Experience working full software life cycle experience on large scale formal DoD program
- Experience programming with Ada language
- Experience programming with C++ language
- Experience with real-time embedded software development
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Electronic Warfare system development and design experience
