Role:
The 2025, 10 week paid summer Internship Program at Northern Trust based in Canary Wharf, will offer students the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience working in one of the most transformational industries in the market. The start date is 30th June 2025. This is a 10 week internship until 8th September 2025.
Who we’re looking for
Our internships are for penultimate-year undergraduate students looking to gain work experience in our industry, with a view to pursuing graduate roles in 2026.
We are on the lookout for students with:
- Eligibility to work in the UK 35 hours per week.
- Available to take up a 10 week placement, commencing 30th June.
- Applicants must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint & Word.

Our Internship Opportunities Include Placement With The Following Teams:
COO Technology Servicing and Solutions – 2 posts
- Opportunity to work in Digital Product Management where you will contribute in:
- Metrics analysis, idea generation, and design for the online user experience (UXD) of client facing apps and portals
- Product funding process, product implementation plans, and product launch strategy
- Internal and external communications on product enhancements, system issues, and best practices
- Opportunity to work in Client Change Management where you will contribute in:
- Project management and Execution, Business Analysis, Project Documentation, Budget Reporting
- Supporting Client Change Project Leads across Asset Owner and Asset Manager clients delivering technical client customisation projects
- Process enhancement opportunities in Client Change Reporting to clients & internal stakeholders utilising Microsoft Power BI and Automate
Sample future career paths might include Junior Product Manager, Associate Project Manager, Junior Business Manager, Business Analyst, Product Consultant.
Asset Servicing Software Development (Technology) – 2 Posts
- Opportunities to contribute and learn from technology initiatives that support key business operations across the Asset Servicing domain (Capital Markets, Global Fund Services, Transfer Agency)
- Sample future career paths might include Software Engineer, Data Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE or Architect
